"Skater and BMX collector Salvador "Sal" Barbier shows his extensive
collection of old school BMX frames which he calls "The Guggenheim of
BMX".
Sal Barbier is a designer who lives in Los Angeles and runs
his own independent bike shop where he sells the finest equipment and
attire for the dedicated skater. When Sal grew up, BMX guys and skaters
used to hang out in the same places, so Sal came to love both sports.
Today, he combines them by riding his bike as a warm-up before skating.
He is also famous for having what he labels "The Guggenheim of BMX", a
collection of very rare BMX bikes and gear he spent years collecting and
buying on eBay. He rides his different bikes wherever he goes, not out
of convenience, but because he thinks that riding a bike is one of the
coolest things in the world."
